Each year it has been a struggle to highlight just one title when there are so many poems I read and keep returning to that I want to include. This is the 10th anniversary of the award and from now on it will highlight a handful of beautiful, brilliant books of poetry that confront injustice. The six titles below are books that will always be in my life now, books that shake me awake each time I read them. Click titles for details.
